AHD security cameras and recorders use new or existing coax cable to transmit high definition video at 720p or 1080p, making the technology perfect for new or retrofit installations. Older analog camera systems can easily be upgraded by replacing the old DVR with an AHD DVR and gradually or immediately replacing older cameras with AHD cameras. AHD video can be transmitted up to 500 meters on quality coax cable.
