TRENDnet is a global provider of award-winning networking and surveillance solutions to small and medium-sized businesses, as well as home office users. Founded in 1990, the company has grown tremendously over the last 30 years. In TRENDnet’s first decade, it quickly expanded by launching products in multiple categories while also entering the Latin American and European markets. In 1992, it launched its first Ethernet adapter, and in 1994, launched its first switch. TRENDnet published its first corporate website in 1995, released its first router in 1998, and hosted its first global partner conference at the company headquarters in Torrance, California in 2000.
In 2002, TRENDnet expanded to the Asian market, and established its Taiwan office in 2003. As it built out its channel strategy, TRENDnet took on more of a retail focus. After creating the Global Partner Program in 2006, TRENDnet received many awards for being an exemplary company while continuing to launch innovative products. Company awards include making INC. 5000 Magazine’s Top Companies List in 2008, and being named a Top 5 USA Networking Brand by CRN in 2009. TRENDnet was also the first to market a wireless N450 router in 2010.
In the last decade, TRENDnet continued its steady growth while receiving recognition as a company and for its innovative products. TRENDnet was recognized as the best vendor in the multi-category division four times at DISTREE EMEA, a leading ICT and Consumer Technology event for the European, Middle East, and African distribution and retail channels. Its AC1750 router received the PC Magazine Editors’ Choice Award, its Powerline 500 adapter was rated the fastest by CNET, and the AC1200 WiFi Range Extender received Tom’s Guide Best Pick Award.
