HDCVI technology uses traditional CCTV camera coax cable to deliver true high definition video. With resolutions of 720p (1 megapixel) 1080p (2 megapixels) or 4 megapixels, these high definition over coax systems deliver stunning images.
When upgrading older analog CCTV systems, hybrid DVRs will allow analog CCTV (aka CVBS) cameras to be used while also supporting newer HD over coax HDCVI systems.
HDCVI is also marketed under other terms like XVI for example.
